Cyclic Siloxane

Cyclic siloxanes are silicone fluids with ring structures rather than linear chains. The main cyclic siloxanes are D4 (Cyclotetrasiloxane), D5 (Cyclopentasiloxane), and D6 (Cyclohexasiloxane). Regulatory concern: D4 and D5 are SVHC-listed under EU REACH and restricted in wash-off cosmetics in the EU and UK. Many formulators are migrating to non-cyclic alternatives.
