Suncare formulation is technically demanding: UV filters must be dispersed uniformly, the finished product must be water-resistant, sensory performance must hold through sweat and reapplication, and regulatory restrictions on cyclic silicones in wash-off products apply in EU and UK markets. Nishka's suncare silicone portfolio addresses every dimension of this brief. NISH PTM 4710 (Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone) boosts SPF values through its high refractive index — the same mechanism used by premium sunscreen brands globally. Silicone elastomers (NISH EL 450) deliver the sensory experience expected in SPF-50 formulations. Alkyl-modified silicones (NISH PT103) provide the volatile carrier function of D5 without the SVHC regulatory concerns in EU wash-off sunscreens.
