LAB SUPPORT

Test your formulation with our chemists.

Before you place a production order, our R&D team can test Nishka silicones in your actual formulation matrix. We trial your formula, evaluate compatibility and performance, and return a written report — at no charge for qualified development projects.

HOW IT WORKS

From brief to written report in four steps.

01

Brief

Send us your formulation outline, target performance description, and the Nishka silicone you are considering. A formulation outline does not need to be a full formula — performance target, product type, and key actives are sufficient for a feasibility assessment.

02

Lab trial

Our R&D team incorporates the product into a representative formulation matrix and runs sensory, stability, and compatibility evaluations. Where possible, we trial in a matrix that closely resembles your target formulation type.

03

Written report

Within 10–15 business days, you receive a written report with observations, recommended use levels, and suggested adjustments for your formulation. Observations cover sensory profile, emulsion stability, compatibility findings, and relevant notes for scale-up.

04

Sample dispatch

If you want to continue evaluation in your own lab, samples are dispatched within 5 business days. The sample quantity is agreed at brief stage — standard sample quantities apply; larger volumes by arrangement.

WHAT WE TEST

Evaluation parameters covered.

Sensory profile

Skin feel, hair feel, spread, residue character, after-feel. Evaluated by trained assessors using descriptive panel methodology. Results reported as sensory descriptors with recommended use level ranges.

Emulsion stability

Stability across pH and temperature ranges relevant to the product type. Accelerated stability at 40°C/75% RH and 50°C for emulsion systems. Freeze-thaw cycling for relevant formulation types.

Compatibility

Compatibility with common active ingredients — hydroxy acids, retinoids, UV filters, niacinamide, peptides — in the silicone's intended use concentration. Phase separation, precipitation, and viscosity instability monitored.

Appearance

Visual assessment of color, clarity, homogeneity, and phase separation. Assessed fresh and after accelerated stability conditions. Relevant for transparent serums, clear gels, and products with defined appearance specifications.

SPF evaluation

In vitro SPF assessment using diffuse-reflectance spectrophotometry for sunscreen formulations. Evaluates SPF boost contribution of Nishka silicone in combination with declared UV filters. Relevant for NISH PT103, CM100, and PTM-series products.

Conditioning performance

Wet and dry combing force reduction, shine, and softness measurements for hair care applications. Evaluated on standardised hair swatch panels. Relevant for dimethiconol blends, amodimethicone, and amino-functional silicones.
