PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane)

PDMS — Polydimethylsiloxane — is the chemical name for the linear silicone polymer known by INCI as Dimethicone. The fundamental cosmetic silicone chemistry. PDMS consists of repeating dimethylsiloxane (–O–Si(CH₃)₂–) units terminated by trimethylsilyl groups, with chain length determining viscosity.
