Methicone

Methicone is the INCI name for short-chain linear polymethylsiloxane terminated with trimethylsilyl groups at one end and a monomethylsilyl group at the other (asymmetric termination). Delivers lighter texture than equivalent dimethicone grades and is used in hair care and skincare for its dry, non-greasy finish. Related to but distinct from Dimethicone.
