Dimethiconol

Dimethiconol is the INCI name for dimethylsiloxane polymers terminated with hydroxyl groups (–OH) rather than trimethylsilyl groups. CAS number 70131-67-8. Higher viscosity and substantivity than standard dimethicone, making it valuable for hair conditioning, skin sealing, and protective film formation. Typically supplied as high-viscosity (4,000–10,000 cSt) blends in volatile carriers.
