Amodimethicone

Amodimethicone is the INCI name for amino-functional silicones — dimethylsiloxane polymers modified with aminopropyl groups. CAS number 71750-80-6. The amino functionality provides cationic charge that binds to damaged (negatively charged) hair surfaces, delivering substantive conditioning, frizz control, and color protection. Used extensively in hair conditioners, treatments, and color care products.
