Silicone Surfactant

A silicone surfactant is a silicone polymer modified with hydrophilic groups (typically polyethylene glycol or polypropylene glycol chains) to create surface-active properties. Used as emulsifiers, wetting agents, and surface tension modifiers in cosmetic formulations. Examples: PEG-10 Dimethicone, BIS-PEG-10 Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone.
