HONEST POSITIONING

What we're not for.

Speciality silicone is a wide field. We're deliberately narrow about where Nishka fits. This page tells you when we're not the right partner — so you can route to the right one instead.

WE ARE NOT THE SUPPLIER FOR

Applications we don't supply

Industrial silicone rubber, LSR, or moulding elastomers

We make cosmetic silicones — not silicone rubber for industrial moulding. Our elastomers are crosspolymer gels for skin feel and texture in personal care formulations, not LSR (liquid silicone rubber) for injection moulding, RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing) rubber, HCR (high-consistency rubber), or fluorosilicone rubber.

For LSR, RTV, HCR: Consider Wacker, Dow, Momentive, or Shin-Etsu.

Medical-grade and implant silicones

Our products are not tested, certified, or represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical use. We do not manufacture silicones to USP Class VI, ISO 10993, or implant-grade specifications. Medical device and implant-grade silicones require testing and documentation far beyond our cosmetic quality system.

For medical-grade silicones: Consider NuSil (Avantor) or Momentive's medical silicone line.

Electronic-grade silicone fluids or potting compounds

We don't make silicones for electronic encapsulation, thermal interface materials, thermal management fluids, or semiconductor process applications. These applications require specific electrical-grade purity, controlled trace metal content, and dielectric properties not characterised or validated in our portfolio.

For electronic-grade silicones: Consider Dow, Momentive, or Shin-Etsu's electronics division.

Construction sealants and weatherproofing silicones

Our portfolio is cosmetic silicones for personal care formulations — not silicone sealants, waterproof coatings, or construction adhesives. Structural silicone applications require entirely different chemistry, curing mechanisms, and performance validation.

For construction silicones: Consider Dow DOWSIL or Wacker ELASTOSIL product lines.

Direct food contact silicones (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600)

Some Nishka silicones may contain materials consistent with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 requirements, but we do not position or represent our portfolio for direct food contact applications. Specify FDA food-contact grade requirements explicitly at the brief stage if relevant, and we will advise on the available documentation.

Food contact use: Raise at brief stage — we'll advise available documentation.

WE ARE THE SUPPLIER FOR

"If you're somewhere in between — talk to us. We'd rather route you elsewhere on Day One than disappoint you on Day Sixty."
